1:19 pm 02/06/14--We have received 12 inches of snow in the last 24 hours and it's going to be a great day at The Beast. Thursday will offer something for everyone, whether you seek groomers, bumps, steeps or glades. Yes, you read that correctly glades! Yesterday we dropped ropes on Patsys, Somewhere and Nowhere, and it sure feels good to be making powder turns between the trees once again!
Overnight we laid down super-soft corduroy on 70 trails including East Fall, Superstar, Double Dipper, Launch Pad, Swirl, Frolic and Upper Chute, but left plenty of Mother Nature's bounty untouched for you as well. To get your fill of soft bumps head to Outer Limits, Cascade, Downdraft, Ovation, Vertigo, Escapade and Lower Skyelark. 14 lifts are scheduled to spin at 9:00 a.m. and will operate through 4:00 p.m. as usual. As a special treat the Canyon Quad will run today.
The K Parks crew is pleased to announce that work has begun on the Timberline Mini-Pipe and they anticipate having it open for the weekend. That means it will be closed on Thursday, but Neff Land will be open with 15 features to keep you bonking, jibbing, sliding and catching the air you crave. Additionally, we have 3 new features in the Dream Maker Park, bringing the total up to 21. Easy Street sports 8 features on Wednesday and the Stash is hanging tough with 31 features. Look before you leap: More Details
Needles Eye will be closed from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and Mouse Run will be closed from 9 a.m. to noon. Highline will be closed all day. We thank you for your understanding.
